The theme for todays post is "adore". Adoration is a very important part of the Catholic religion. It is important to take time to really appreciate God and all that he does. Adoration does not need to be about God though. While God should be held above all, we need to adore those around us as well. Why? Because the people and things around us are God's creations and an extension of God himself. We must adore all of God's creations because they are sacred, especially when it may be difficult, because they are sacred.

The photo posted today is of Mary holding Jesus. This statue is a place that is perfect for adoration. It is secluded so that while praying to God and adoring Him you can truly focus on what you are trying to talk to God about. Statues like this are always inspiring to visit because many times they are surrounded by flowers and adorned with small gifts. Even if you don't take the time to stop and pray to God, you can sit and reflect on the other people that have visited.
