The theme for the photo today is "heaven". Heaven is a difficult topic to photograph because we don't know what heaven looks like. I personally tend to think about heaven a lot during a beautiful sunset. Generally sunsets are beautiful and serene, much like what I believe heaven will be like. Heaven is a place, in Saint Pauls words, that we will have nothing and everything. This statement, while confusing at first glance, makes perfect sense. When you think of having nothing you generally think of it as a negative, but when you think of it how Saint Paul is referring it is inspiring.

In heaven we will have nothing, meaning that since we don't have anything we will be content with everything. We will come to appreciate everything to its fullest and not "need" anything anymore. In heaven we will have things that others cannot posess like goodness, truth, love, and God. While these are things we can experience while on Earth, we cannot take ownership of them. They are ideas and feelings that we can think of and experience, but cannot hold in our hands and calim. We will feel true happiness without having anything.

Heaven is something to look forward to. A place where we will finally understand things that could not be explained during our time on Earth. Especially during Lent make sure that you are preparing yourself for the day that you might get to experience this glorious place.
