Day 17 - STATIONS

The theme for the photo today is "stations". The stations of the cross provide a very important story to us as Catholics, and when praying the stations of the cross we must understand the importance of them.

The sations of the cross are displayed in almost every Catholic church and summarizes the day of Jesus' crucifixion into 14 key events. The stations are important throughout the year, but are most relevant during the Lenten season. The stations of the cross allow us to make a prayerful journey through everything that Jesus endured. Since Lent is the time leading up to Easter, or the day of the resurrection, taking the time to pray the stations of the cross is a perfect way to pay tribute to what He did for us.
