The theme for the photo today is "glorify". The term glorify means to "give praise to God", which is exaclty what we should be doing during Lent. During this time we remember the suffering that Jesus endured and we thank God for giving His only son for our sins. For this we must glorify Him.
A constant theme I keep bringing up is the fact that we need to take this time during Lent, and always for that matter, to appreciate what all God has surrounded us with. There is so much beauty in the world that is so eaily pushed in hind site by other horrible things happening at this time. Because of this we lose site of what all God has done for us. He has surrounded us with so much life and wonder that we need to take a step back and glorfy him for what he has created.
Over the past few years I have been privelaged enough to be able to live in and visit many beautiful places. Growing up in San Diego I never realized how lucky I truly was, but now living in the mountains of Arizona I come to realize that one place is not better than the other. Both are full of beauty but of differnent types. In San Diego you have the ocean and beautiful sunny days, while in Flagstaff we have snow in the winter and some of the most beautiful colorful springs. The landscapes are vastly different, but equally as awe inspring when you take a step back and appreciate them.
We must glorify God for all that He has done and thank Him for the beauty he has given all of us in our lives.
